Before we really start diving in and checking this out, I do wanna address probably the most popular question when it comes to setting up a flat tow. And that's, "What parts am I gonna need" So there're gonna be a total of five. You'll have your base plate. Today we have a 2023 Ram 2500 and we're gonna be taking a look at, and we're gonna go over some of the features of the etrailer.com XHD tow bar that is also going to be non-binding. The five main components of flat towing a vehicle are going to be your base plate, which attaches to the vehicle, your tow bar, your braking system, diode wiring and your safety chains. Now each of these components are gonna play a part in safely towing your vehicle down the road. Your base plate is going to allow you to connect your tow bar to it. Your tow bar will also connect to your motorhome. more

Hi there Ram owners, towing your 2019 Ram 1500. We're gonna be taking a look at and showing you how to install etrailer's XHD tow bar. To assist us with this, we're also going to be using etrailer's crossbar, which allows it to adapt for road master crossbar style base plates. You can get these kitted together or you can get these separately if you might already have one around, if maybe you're reusing some components from an old flat tow. And this is what our tow bar looks like when it's installed. This is the XHD tow bar, so it has a weight rating of 10,500 pounds, which is some of the highest tow bars that's out there on the market. more
